“Voice and video chat are coming soon to the platform so you can communicate with people all over the world without giving them your phone number,” said Elon Musk, the company’s CEO.
The addition of the calling function will bring the microblogging platform in line with other social media programs that have similar features.
Direct messages will be available on Twitter starting May 10.
