China’s Xiaomi Corporation has been listed as an international war sponsor by the National Anti-Corruption Agency in Ukraine as the company has continued its work in Russia and plans to expand there.

In the third quarter of 2022, compared to the previous quarter, Xiaomi increased the supply of its products to Russia by 39%. During 2022, Xiaomi doubled its market share and is now the leader in smartphone sales in Russia.

Officially, Xiaomi did not announce its withdrawal from Russia, but since the spring of 2022, it has not carried out marketing activities in this country. However, currently Xiaomi is actively resuming recruitment for its Russian offices and has announced the official start of sales of flagship smartphones in Russia, according to the NAZK.

Xiaomi, in turn, opposes its recognition as an international sponsor of the war in Ukraine.

“We do not support any military actions. We fully support world peace. Our mission is to enable everyone in the world to enjoy a better life with the help of innovative technologies,” the message reads.

Xiaomi Corporation produces smartphones, home appliances, tablets, smart watches, software, electric scooters, electric bicycles, etc.
