Elon Musk created a new artificial intelligence company X.AI Corp. The company is registered in Nevada.
Elon Musk is the sole registered director of the company, and Jared Birchall is the director of the Musk Family Office as acting secretary.
Musk has not revealed the details of the project yet. It is known to have been actively recruiting researchers in recent months to compete with artificial intelligence technology company OpenAI. He is a co-founder of OpenAI and left the company in 2018. Last year, Musk expressed concern about the risks associated with artificial intelligence technology.
In February, Elon Musk was recruiting a team to develop an analogue of ChatGPT. Ihor Babushkina, who worked in the Alphabet DeepMind AI division, was invited to lead the work.
Twitter also changed its name to X Corp. and now also registered in Nevada.
