Adobe unveils David Bowie’s virtual dressing room
In it, you can explore the image of Ziggy Stardust.
Dentsu Creative, a creative agency from Amsterdam, has created a virtual dressing room for David Bowie. The singer would have turned 75 this year, and his alter ego Ziggy Stardust would have turned 50. Adobe unveiled a set of tools dedicated to the anniversary, including this immersive game.
The virtual room faithfully depicts the London room where Bowie once started out. To create it, the designers used archival photographs of the artist. You can explore every corner of it. Items to be found include the iconic red platform boots, a Hagstrom-inspired guitar, and green and gold bracelets designed by Kansai Yamamoto exclusively for Bowie. Interesting facts tell about the design of these things.
Of course, the room was made using Adobe digital tools. For example, Adobe Substance 3D. The entire collection of virtual reality objects from the fitting room is also available in Creative Cloud and Substance.
