Counting down until the arrival of your new Suzuki Jimny? Seiko has released a pair of Jimny-inspired watches to help pass the time.
Japanese watchmaker Seiko has released a limited-edition timepiece dedicated to one of Australia’s most in-demand new cars – the Suzuki Jimny.
Seiko’s Jimny-edition watch celebrates Suzuki’s pint-sized off-roader which has become a cult favourite thanks in part to its off-road ability, tiny footprint and relatively affordable price.
According to Japanese watch retailer Japan-Select, the watch is available in two variants – the ‘Forest’ model (teaming dark and light greens with a camouflage face) and the ‘Urban’ model (featuring a simple black face).
Both versions of the watch include the Jimny’s rhino logo on the watch face, Suzuki logos on the end of the seconds hand and dial, and silicone bands.
The Seiko timepiece is rated as a diver’s watch and is capable of being water resistant at up to 200m below sea level.

Prices for the limited-edition watches start from approximately $1260 for the ‘Urban’ model, and for the ‘Forest’ version – excluding shipping to Australia from Japan.
Japanese publication Best Car reports orders for the watches will close on Friday 31 March 2023, before deliveries begin in October this year – approximately the same wait time between ordering and taking delivery of a manual Suzuki Jimny in Australia.
As reported in January, Suzuki Australia has advised wait times about six months for the five-speed manual Jimny, while overwhelming demand and 18-month delays led to automatic orders being paused in early 2023.
Suzuki announced the Jimny Heritage edition for Australia earlier this month – limited to 300 manual-only examples with a handful of cosmetic additions compared to the standard model.
