Hassell Studio 3D printed pavilion
The recycled plastic building is part of a recycling campaign.
Design studio Hassell Studio has partnered with the charity to.org, and together they built a 3D printed pavilion. To create it, they used recycled plastic materials made by the Nagami studio.

The designers presented a prototype that can be supplemented with various modifications for extreme climatic conditions. In total, several pavilions will be created: they will serve as places for discussions about material waste and technological solutions to this problem.

Since the pavilion is created using computer technology, it can be easily adjusted to any location at virtually no additional cost. Xavier De Questellier, Head of Design at Hassell, says: “We wanted the pavilion to be completely autonomous and adapt to local climate conditions in order to create the lowest possible carbon footprint.”

In colder conditions, the pavilion will be closed. In warmer conditions, the structure’s ribs will provide shade.
